I’m Femi, a proud champion of The Irede Foundation. This is my story: After losing my leg in a fall from a six-foot fence, I thought my dreams were over. It was a very sad moment for my family but thanks to The IREDE Foundation changed my story, now I barely remember I am an amputee! I play football, ride my bicycle, and chase my dreams. who knows? Extending Limbs, Raising Champions
In 2013, we launched our global Out-On-A-Limb campaign to raise awareness about the trauma of being a child amputee or caregiver. This annual 2-KM walk advocates for diversity, equality, and inclusion of Persons With Disability as well as child amputees while equally raising funds to provide prosthetic limbs and empower lives. The IREDE Foundation is a Nigerian-based Non-profit organization that provides prosthetic limbs to Child amputees, allowing their families, and caregivers to live independent and limitless lives. It also empowers persons with disability and since its inception in 2012, it has provided over 500 limbs to child amputees across Nigeria.
